Who we are

Ukrainian Women in Switzerland is the non-profit association (“Association”, “Ukrainian Women in Switzerland association”, “we”) and the founder of the Ukrainian School in Geneva (École ukrainienne à Genève). Your support towards our initiatives can contribute to making a difference for Ukrainian community residing in French-speaking Switzerland and the students of the school. We respect the privacy of our users (“you”, “user”) . This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard your information when you visit our website https://femmes-ukrainiennes.ch/ (“website”) or when you submit information to us or we collect your information through other means.

What information is collected

We may collect various types of information about you:

  • Information necessary to engage with you to support the Ukrainian Women in Switzerland association, precisely in providing financial support towards our educational and cultural initiatives for the Ukrainian community in French-speaking Switzerland and students of École ukrainienne à Genève (such as your name and contact details);
  • Information necessary for your participation in the Association’s activities;
  • Information needed to provide you with information or email alerts;
  • Information you provide in Google forms or surveys;
  • Information about your attendance at our educational and cultural events;
  • Information shared with us during communications related to the Association’s activities;

Why information is collected

We collect your data only to enable the Ukrainian Women in Switzerland association’s cultural and educational activities, precisely to organize events for the Ukrainian community in French-speaking Switzerland. We do not have any commercial purposes of using your data.

Where and how information is collected from

You may provide us with information directly (e.g. filling in a form; making a call to us; registering to receive the Ukrainian Women in Switzerland association’s letters or email alerts; or submitting content to us). We may collect information automatically (e.g. when you make donations directly to our bank account). We may acquire information from third parties (e.g. publicly-available information on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram).

How long the information about you will be kept

We will retain information about you for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the information was collected and/or as needed to conduct our activities and to meet regulatory, legal and accounting requirements. After that, we will delete it. The period will vary depending on the purposes for which the information was collected. Note that in some circumstances, you have the right to request us to delete the information.

Who information is shared with

We may share the information about you with other organizations and physical persons who provide support for the Ukrainian Women in Switzerland association’s cultural and educational activities. Precisely, we may need to provide your information to persons who help organize cultural and educational events.  We may also share your information with professional advisers in order to enable them to assist us in our activities.
